An inspiring day of collaboration between destinations, experts and tourism representatives from across Europe, all working together towards a smarter, more sustainable and data-driven tourism model.
Throughout the session, we shared insights, experiences and next steps across the project’s four thematic clusters:
Redistribution of tourism flows in space and time
Balance between residents and tourists
Climate change mitigation and adaptation
Emerging destinations to attract quality and sustainable tourism
The meeting featured the participation of Misa Labarile, PhD (Policy Officer, European Commission), Dolores Ordoñez (project coordinator), and the involvement of our partners Daniel Iglesias Gonsálvez, Cristina Nuñez, Rieka Oldsen, Urska Starc Peceny, Bart Neuts, Ana Moniche Bermejo, Dirk Schmücker along with representatives from multiple European DMOs.
In addition, the external experts who will support destinations in implementing sustainable and data-driven strategies were introduced.
The meeting concluded with a look towards the upcoming milestones:
– D3HUB Academy — 2 December: “Making Maps”
– Brussels Meeting — 27 January 2026
